How to quickly make home-made hot chocolate?
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1/2 cup demerara sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup whipping cream
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- About 100 gms chopped dark chocolate
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Garnish: whipped cream
Whisk milk, demerara sugar and whipping cream in a kadhai over medium heat until mixture begins to simmer. Reduce heat to medium-low; add cocoa powder, chocolate, and cinnamon; mix until chocolate is melted and smooth. Pour the mixture into glasses. Garnish each with whipped cream and chocolate chips and serve.
