Dolma is a traditional food originated from India and Pakistan. Tamatar ka dolma is it's extension to variety.


Salt/pepper-to taste
Cumin seed-5gm
Onion chopped-15gm
Boiled potatoes grated-40gm
Cheddar cheese-40gm
Green chili chopped-1no.
Ginger chopped-5gm
Turmeric powder-¼tspn
Hung Curd-50gm
Roasted channa powder-10gm

Step By Step Method

  • Step 1. Wash, cut caps of tomatoes. Remove pulp seed. Keep aside.

    Step 2. Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seed and allow crackling. Add onion & sauté.Now mix in potatoes, cheese, chili, ginger, salt, pepper and turmeric. Sauté for 2-3 minutes and remove. Allow to cool. Divide into four parts.

    Step 3. Stuff the tomatoes with this mixture & replace the caps. Secure with toothpicks.

    Step 4. Now make a marinade with salt, pepper, curd & channa powder. Coat each tomato with the marinade and marinate for 30 minutes

    Step 5. Pre heat the Air fryer at 180° C for four minutes. Lightly coat the fryer basket with oil.

    Step 6. Keep the tomatoes in the basket and lightly brush with oil. Air fry at 180°C for 6 minutes or till done.

    Step 7. Serve hot.
