 Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. The detachable parts are removed and cleaned with detergent. The metal funnel is removed, coffee residue is rinsed out and washed with detergent and cleaned thoroughly. Periodical descaling is recommended every 2-3 months to keep the coffeemaker functioning to its best. Water is combined with household vinegar in the ratio of 4:1 to remove the hard deposits from within. The combination of water and vinegar is poured into the tank and switched on till the steam starts forming for 2 minutes. This is again switched on after 15 minutes. The process is repeated 3 times till all the water evaporates out through the steam nozzle. Lastly fill the tank with only water and let it steam out all the water the same way you did with the vinegar in it.
