- 2 cups unsalted shelled peanuts
- 1/4 to 3/4 tsp. table salt
- Honey as required
- 3 tbl. sp. olive oil (add more as required)
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

Preparation Method

Pre-heat an oven to 180 degrees C. Add peanuts to a square cake pan. Roast them for about 3 minutes, shake the pan and then roast for another 3 to 5 minutes or until they are lightly browned. Do NOT over roast them, they burn really quickly. Leave aside to cool.

Add the roasted peanuts to a bowl of a food processor. Process for a minute. Scrape out the sides of bowl with a spatula. Process for another 2 to 3 minutes until the peanuts turn shiny and smooth. Now, add desired amount of salt and honey and process until they are mixed evenly. To make the peanut butter slightly sweet, add 1/2 tsp of salt and 1 1/2 tsp of honey. Check the consistency. Add oil to make a smooth flow.

To make your peanut butter crunchy, leave aside 1/3 cup of roasted, grinded peanuts. Add these to the final mixture and mix well.

Transfer peanut butter to a food-safe container, cover and store in the refrigerator. Consume it within a month, if you still have any left over that is. wink
