A savory pancake recipe made with Besan and grated onion, tomatoes and green chillies is a perfect dish to add to your diet chart. Low in calories, while high in protein, it won't take more than 20 minutes to prepare this Besan ka Cheela.


  •  2 cups Besan with 3tbsp Cornflour
  •  1 finely chopped onion,  2 green chillies and 1 tomato with 1/4 cup cilantro leaves
  •  Salt as per your taste
  •  Black pepper powder, Red Chilli powder, Chat masala and Coriander powder, Carom seeds
  •  Water for a smooth batter and Oil for cooking.


Step By Step Method

    •  Add besan, cornflour and chopped items in a bowl.
    •  Make a smooth batter by adding water to the mixture.
    • Heat a non-stick tawa and pour a ladle of the batter and spread it like a dosa.
    • Use 1 tsp of oil and cook on medium flame.
    •  Turn upside down and cook the other part.
    •  Servee it hot with ketchup, pickle or even with tea.
