Soaked Black Eyed Pea-250g,Onion-1,Green Chilli-4, Ginger-1 inch, Curry,Coriander and mint leaves, cumin seeds, 1 spoon sooji rawa,salt, little oil

Paniyaram Pan,Mixing Bowl, Mixer etc

Step By Step Method

  • Grind the Black Eyed Pea as a paste mix the paste with sooji rawa,cumin seeds,finely chopped onion,mirchi, ginger, coriander and pudina leaves and salt Put Paniyaram Pan on stove and keep it medium to high flame and put oil in each impression. when the Pan is hot then take a spoon or small laddle full of batter and fill the impressions with ponganalu batter keep the stove on medium flame. Cover and cook for 2 minutes remove lid sprinkle little oil on top of ponganalu and cook on medium flame for some time or brown spots appear at the edges. Gently turn/flip each one and cook for 2minutes and take them out from the pan and serve it.
