Step By Step Method

  • Before we start making dum aloo in the Prestige clip on cookware, let’s start with the preparations.

    1. We require small baby potatoes for making a perfect dum aloo recipe. Peel the potatoes and prick them with fork and keep aside. In a grinder, grind peanuts to a fine powder. Make a puree of tomatoes, garlic, green chillies, and ginger. And finely chop the onions.
    2. Heat oil in a prestige clip on cookware.
    3. After the oil is heated add cumin seeds and asafoetida.
    4. After the seeds crackle add onions and sprinkle some salt. Cook the onions till they turn translucent.
    5. Now add the tomato, ginger-garlic and chilli puree that we prepared earlier.
    6. Add all the spices including turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder and salt. Mix all the ingredients well. Cook the puree for about 5 minutes till you can see oil on the sides.
    7. Now add the baby potatoes and half glass of water.
    8. Cook the potatoes in the gravy for 2-3 minutes and add the grounded peanut powder. Also add half tablespoons of garam masala and mix well.
    9. Now cover the lid and pressure cook on Prestige clip on cookware for 4-5 whistles. Dum Aloo in Prestige clip on Cookware is ready. Serve hot and enjoy.
