It is made with the goodness of saffron, sugar and hung curd that you will not get enough of with the very first morsel. It is easy to make and Lord Krishna is sure to get appeased with this sweet.


1 kilogramme of curd
1 tablespoon of milk
Few strands of saffron
¾ cup of sugar.

Step By Step Method

  • Hang the curd in a muslin cloth for about 24 hours till it is completely rid of all its water content. Take care to assure that the curd you use  is fresh one and not sour.
    Meanwhile, soak a few strands of saffron in a tablespoon of warm milk, stir well and keep aside. Now in a mortar, crush 4-5 green cardamom and keep that aside too. Take a bowl and mix the hung curd with sugar. Whip the curd with sugar till it is blended well. Make sure the sugar granules are fully dissolved in the hung curd. 
    You are good to mix the saffron milk mixture and the cardamom powder. Using the beater blend them well till it's smooth. With a spatula pour the mix into serving bowls carefully and store it in the refrigerator. 
    Serve garnished with roasted and coarsely powdered almonds or pistachios
