  • 1 cup of Raw Rice Flour
  • 1 cup of Water
  • Salt as per taste
  • Cooking Oil as needed

For the Tempering

  • 1 teaspoon of Mustard Seeds
  • ½ teaspoon of Urad Dal
  • ½ teaspoon of Cumin Seeds
  • 2 teaspoons of Cooking Oil
  • A few Curry Leaves
  • 2 finely chopped Green Chillies
  • ¼ teaspoon of Asafoetida

Step By Step Method

  • Step 1

    Boil water, add it little by little to the rice flour.

    Step 2

    Mix with a ladle and ensure there is no lump formation. Wait for some time. Then use your hands to knead it into a soft dough.

    Step 3

    Now make the dough into small balls using your palms greased with oil. Steam cook for 10 minutes.

    Step 4

    In a pan pour oil & heat it. Add mustard seeds, urad dal, cumin seeds and curry leaves.

    Step 5

    Once it splutters,  add green chillies, asafoetida & steamed Kozhukattai. Saute for 2 minutes. Then switch off the flame. The dish is ready.
