Ingredients

For Dough -
Wheat Flour
Baking Powder
Ajwain
Salt as per taste
Ghee
Water
For Stuffing
Sattu (Roasted Gram Flour)
Chopped coriander leaves
Finely chopped green chillies
1 tbsp finely chopped ginger
1 tbsp finely chopped garlic
Ajwain
Lemon juice
Mustard oil
For tomato & brinjal chokha:
Tomatoes
Brinjal
Finely chopped green chillies
1 tbsp finely chopped ginger
1 tbsp finely chopped garlic
Mustard oil
Finely chopped coriander leaves

Step By Step Method

  • Litti -
    Prepare a soft dough of wheat flour. Add yogurt to the wheat flour for a soft knead.
    Make small ball-sized doughs. Press the edges and form a cup for the stuffing and secure it well by pleating the dough.
    Remove the extra dough and roll it well.
    Roast or bake the littis on an open fire or in the oven till it's cooked well.
    Dip the littis in the hot ghee before serving.

    Choka -
    Chargrille tomatoes and brinjals
    Remove the burnt skin and put them in a bowl.
    Add salt as per taste.
    Pour the rest of the ingredients. Add a 2-3 tbsp of mustard oil to the mix.
    Mash and mix it nicely.
