Fried mushroom and paneer in pudina flavoured masala


2 medium size tomatoes 1 large onion/1.5 medium size onion 200gm paneer 1 packet of mushroom Half inch ginger 5-6 garlic cloves Half inch cinnamon 3/4th cup mint leaves Coriander leave 1-2 green chilli Cumin seeds Salt Rice bran oil Garam masala Turmeric

Step By Step Method

  • 1. Add chopped tomatoes, cinnamon, ginger, garlic, green chilli, mint leaves and corriander leaves into the mixer and make a coarse paste. Add little water if needed 2. Heat a non stick pan 3. Add 2 tbsp of rice bran oil and let it heat a bit 4. Cut paneer into cubes and shallow fry till they are little less than golden in colour. Remove from the pan 5. Cut mushrooms into halves and fry them too. Remove and keep aside 6. Add little more oil and as it heats up add 2 tsp of cumin seeds 7. Add the chopped onion(s) to the pan and fry until translucent 8. Add the paste and fry until the oil starts leaving the sides 9. Add 1tsp turmeric and salt to taste. Mix and fry for 2-3 minutes 10. Add little water in case the mixture goes dry 11. Add a tsp of garam masala and fry 12. To this mixture add the fried mushroom and paneer and mix in low flame 13. Switch of the flame and keep the dish covered until it is served
