Kadhi is a nice combination food common in North India. Kadhi is made with curd and besan using different methods like in Punjab, Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Gujarati. This is the Rajasthani version.


  • Besan Flour - 250 gms
  • Curd - 150 ml
  • Ginger - 20 gms
  • Garlic - 20 gms
  • Green Chilly - 2
  • Red Chilly - 2
  • Methi Seeds - 3 gms
  • Coriander seeds - 5 gms
  • Carom seeds - 5 gms
  • Chilly powder - 5 gms
  • Oil - 1/2 tbsp

Step By Step Method

  • Step 1. Prepare Pakoda by using besan flour, coriander seeds, Carom seeds, turmeric powder and fry in oil then keep a side

    Step 2. Beat the curd and keep a side

    Step 3. Heat oil in a pan, add methi seeds, Red chilly, green chilly and fry a little while

    Step 4. Add Ginger garlic paste and fry

    Step 5. Now add 200 ml of water and 20 gms of besan flour and mix continuously to avoid the formation of lumps

    Step 6. Add turmeric, salt, chilly powder and curd. Finally add pakoda, chopped coriander leaves.

    Step 7. Now Rajasthanai Kadi Masala is ready and serve hot
