This is a traditional dish that we generally do and i have modified it with my own masala . This could be served with hot steam rice , Chapathi , Idly or Idyappam . I am not able to choose the course , The course is LUNCH .


Crab - 1/2 kg Oil - 3 Tbsp Spices - (cinnamon , cloves , green cardamom , dagad phool) Onion -3 Tomato -2 Ginger garlic paste - 2 Tbsp Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp My crab masala - 3 Tbsp Water - 2 cups salt as needed Corinader leaves to garnish


Kadai I generally prefer mud pot or cast iron kadai .

Step By Step Method

  • Heat oil in a kadai and add in the spices . Add the onions and once they turn golden add the tomatoes . cook until the tomatoes are soft . Now add in the ginger garlic paste and saute for a minute . Add the cleant crab at this stage and give it a thorough toss . once the crab is nicely coated in the onion tomato gravy start adding the masalas , turmeric powder , the crab masala and salt as needed . Stir for a minute and add water into it . Wait until it comes to a boil , then close the kadai with a lid in medium flame and let it cook for another 10-12 minutes . Now the curry is almost done , garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot .
