This is a sweetened milk pudding with vermicelli and saffron in it.


1 ½ litres of milk

Sugar as per taste

Finely chopped soaked Almonds and Pistachios, along with some raisins

½ teaspoon of cardamom powder

½ teaspoon of saffron

1 cup roasted vermicelli

Step By Step Method

  • Boil the milk and let it simmer along for 45 minutes to an hour. Add in the roasted vermicelli, sugar and continue stirring till it thickens. Dissolve saffron in a teaspoon of water. Add the saffron, cardamom powder to the milk-vermicelli mixture and finally serve garnished with the soaked nuts. Your delicious Vermicelli Kheer is ready.
