White tea is the mildest. It may also be a good option for those with caffeine sensitivities since it only contains around 25% as much caffeine as coffee. tea leaves are picked at a younger age when making white tea.

Step By Step Method

  • Heat 1 cup of water to just short of boiling in a saucepan or a teapot. Add 2 teaspoons to 2 tablespoons of white tea leaves to the water either directly or in an infuser. Cover the pan with a lid and let the tea steep between 1- 5 minutes. Taste the tea after a minute and check how you would like the flavor. Decide to steep further up to 5 minutes while tasting the flavor in between. Pour it out into a cup using a strainer if you have not used an infuser. Interestingly white tea can be brewed 2-3 times more to enjoy a myriad of flavors. The temperature might need to be more and also you would have to steep the tea longer.
